Cajun yard dog is the best!! The family that owns the restaurant is super friendly as is the staff and the food is amazing. We always get the fried chicken and the shrimp and andouille pasta and smothered cabbage. These dishes are absolutely delicious! There's a reason this place is always super crowded.

It's the best shrimp and grits I've ever had just absolutely fantastic and I just tried the catfish bites. The crispy light batter has a spicy light taste and you have to get the smashed potatoes they are to die for seriously the shrimp and grits is the best ever it's better than Cajun queen... am I supposed to say that?...lol

$9.50 for 7 small fried mushrooms... Crab cakes were super bready. $35 for one crab cake, and 5 fried oysters. The serving size for the price, along with food that didn't taste good was a terrible experience.

The Blackened Salmon platter with slaw and okra was wonderful. The Catfish Platter with sauteed veggies and smashed potatoes has been ordered many times and is consistently wonderful. The jalapeno tartar sauce adds just the right amount of zing!

I have ordered the smothered cabbage often and it has always been velvety melty cheesy perfection. I don't know what this mess is I was served today. Had to be old. It was clumpy, discolored and inedible. I don't know what the problem was today but this is definitely not what I've received in the past.
