Captain D’s on Rt 1 in Chester is hands-down the best location in all the land and seas, and that’s not just a mom opinion—that’s a fleet-certified fact. This crew is unmatched: friendly, consistent, and always getting it right. The fish is perfectly cooked every single time, and the hush puppies? Legendary. Absolute gold-standard hush puppies.
My son is autistic and has significant food aversions, so when something becomes a safe food, it’s a big deal. Captain D’s is his ultimate safe food, and this location delivers comfort, predictability, and joy with every order. When the Captain is happy, the entire household sails smoothly.

We love the coleslaw, corn on the cob, and baked potato.
Most of our orders from Captain D's have been very good, and we recommend ordering from them online or dining in!!

• 5/11/25The Grilled White Fish Meal is my usual from Captain D's but this time it had a weird smell & the consistency seemed like it was not cooked all the way. I ate the bread stick & the rest went in the trash.
