I beseech you, please read this.
TLDR: These ARE the donuts you have been searching for.
Not too often, I find myself writing an over-written, somewhat dramatic, "let me get on my soapbox real quick" review. It happens when a business, like this, reconstructs my neural pathways with the unique and redefining experience they provide. With that said, the donuts... Perfect, in portion, presentation, and flavor. Crisp, yet fluffy circles of happiness that are a clear reflection of the passion behind the counter and in the kitchen at Cardigan Donuts. My favorite is the coffee donut, that is to say it was... until this morning when I noticed a new "Inspired Donut" (special donuts they rotate every Monday and Thursday). The "Blueberry Flapjack"... fresh, light yet decadent, addictive, perfection. If you are lucky enough to have read this before Thursday and enjoy a blueberry anything. Stop reading and order it. Unfortunately, no picture was taken, but I will fix that tomorrow when I go there to have one before it sadly gets replaced on Thursday. All this to say that Cardigan has definitely added some sweetness to my life, I'm positive they'll add some to yours too.

Best donuts around the Twin Cities.
The chocolate Old Fashion donut was perfect! Crunch edges, deliciously smooth chocolate frosting. All of the donuts were fresh and I would absolutely order from Cardigan Donuts again!!!

I absolutely love cardigan! The best donuts and service in town. That being said, last week we ordered a mixed dozen and the filled donut was a mulled wine donut. It was horrible. I've never thrown a cardigan donut away before but those went in the trash. Please no more mulled wine :')

The Inspired Donuts are always fun to try, and consistently delicious. The Coffee Cake donuts are absolutely fabulous. The Old-Fashioned donuts are my favorite above and beyond all others. You really can't go wrong. Cardigan Donuts is simply the best.
