As a Miami Cuban living in Orlando, I can honestly say Chef Amanda brought me home for a moment.
I ordered the camarones enchilados, and from the very first bite I was instantly transported back to my childhood. The flavor tasted identical to my mom’s cooking growing up — rich, comforting, perfectly seasoned, and made with real soul. That kind of connection is rare.
What impressed me most is that the food is not trying to be “authentic Cuban food” for tourists or social media. It’s original. It tastes like someone’s abuela and mom passed these recipes down through generations and they were made with love, instinct, and pride.
As someone raised on real Miami Cuban cooking, I can tell immediately when food is commercialized or watered down. This was the opposite. Every bite felt genuine, homemade, and deeply personal.
The camarones enchilados were absolutely incredible. The sauce alone deserves an award.
Thank you Chef Amanda for giving this Miami Cuban in Orlando a taste of home again. I will 100% be back and bringing people with me.

I hate havig to rate this dish poorly because I had to call and ask about the dish ahead of ordering and the young woman was so nice and friendly. however as a regular user of doorash I must give an honest review. TheRopa Vieja Bowl was not flavorful, the meat was very dry, tasteless, barely seasoned. I paid $38 to enjoyed sliced avacado, fried plantains and a fried egg as nothing else was good. the rice and beans "moro" was hard and also tasteless. I'm just so disappointed cause this is one of those things we're "not everything that looks good is good". so here I am searching for another meal cause I am still hungry seeing how I was unable to consume the very disappointing meal. I will not be a repeat customer.
