Chilito's is consistently good NEW Mexican food. Notice the NEW Mexican food part. There is a big difference so all you folks from California can either go to Alanberto's or learn to love our style of cooking. Chilito's represents the Mesilla Valley very well and I am a big fan. The salsa is some of my favorite in town and their crispy tacos are fantastic. I got the Country Fried Steak & Eggs this time since it was breakfast time and I am very happy with what I got. My wife got a Breakfast Burrito that was smothered in green chile queso and that was really good too. Good job Chilito's, you are a staple here in Cruces.

I don't know when they changed how they made flautas, but what a disappointment. they were small and flavorless. nothing like the old fluffy flour meat filled flauta we used to get!!
and then the beans were flavorless as well. Thank God for the queso. It saved the meal.
Don't think it will be a reorder again!

The Chile Con Carne Skillet is usually amazing but, today, not so much. The potatoes were undercooked, The eggs instead of scrambled looked fried then cut into strips and, there wasn't much green sauce at all which left the meal pretty dry. The Fajita Salad was fine however, I just think this meal was rushed.
