I've gotten the 1/2 fried chicken from CB in the past and it was very good. The chicken I got the other night was a real disappointment. Instead of golden fried & juicy, the crust was dark brown like it had been overcooked (or re-cooked?). It looked like the overcooked fried chicken I got from Metro Diner, which is why I stopped ordering from there. What happened Cracker Barrel?

I honestly expected better from here! Peach CobblerClassics Sampler,I guess at the end of the day/shift, isn't fresh; for $55.54, I do not think it was worth it! I didn't think that loaded mashed potatoes had the bacon fat pieces in it. Thought tasted good. As usual. Even though the peach cobbler was cold. I have never cared for the thick pieces of dumplings but was very tasty. There were several slices of white chicken breast pieces in it.  Peach tea was refreshing. The cornmuffin and biscuit weren't warm. I think not having a bag in a warmer bag on the trip here mattered. I doordashed it over from online, and that made it cost more as well.  This place will always be our favorite! I just know to not doordash here or wait late to order and eat it was not the best ideas.

the breakfast plate was very good, very fresh and well prepared.the eggs were cooked just right and the bacon was perfectly crisp, not burnt just crisp.the biscuits erefluffy and browned just right, gravy was delicious.overall grat breakfast, well packaged and prepared.

Hashbrown Casserole Shepherd's Pie is a fav of mine.  It easily makes two meals.

The Chocolate Pecan Pie Slice had the freshest pecans ever!  Delicious!

I really don't know what happened to Cracker Barrel here in Jacksonville. The portions and quality have drastically reduced while the pricing has gone way up. I have traveled recently to other states where it was more in keeping with the old school quality that I've grown to expect of Cracker Barrel. Not sure what the issue is, but disappointed overall this morning. Total bummer.
