Medium rare t-bone steak was cooked perfectly and their mashed potatoes were very good.
I make my own mashed potatoes when I make a home cooked meal and I'm really good at it. I'm not trying to brag, I am just saying Denny's knows how to make delicious mashed potatoes. Also on my plate was broccoli and it was fresh and slightly crunchy which is exactly how I like them.
Good job Chef at the Denny's in Monterey on Sept. 23,2023 during the 8:00pm shift.
And good job to the DoorDash delivery driver, Julio" for delivering my food early and still hot.

In the land of over priced, overly complex meals where youre not sure what youre eating even though you read the menu, ordered it, AND eaten half of it, this was fantastic!
I have the local virus which makes the person feel horrible and makes everthing taste rotten, but did Denny's chefs care? Not on your life!
I decided to order a breakfast Cinnamon Roll Pancake Slam®. The scrambled eggs were beautiful! Fluffy, fresh, and done in the middle. The hash browns were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Oh man! The bacon was done without being burned, crisp but left my teeth in one piece. Those cinnamon roll pancakes, well I took one bite of those and ate them just like they were prepared, no butter, no syrup. You cant improve on perfection, right?
My point is, I only eat like this about once a year, but im cheating myself. Im too old to die young, so come January, I'll be having it again in July!
If you order this, dont count the calories, the carbs, the sodium, or the fat grams, just eat it and enjoy it! Youll thank yourself.

When we have a spur of the moment family reunion, we need a place to breakfast. There were no places opened. Then we found Dennys. Pancakes, perfect and the eggs?!?! Eggscellent! Yes I did wordplay.

The Brisk-It-All Melt™ might be the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. This location has the BEST burnt ends-no fatty chunks-cooked to perfection. Topped off with an over-medium egg and those pickles, a sinful pleasure and the grilled buttered bread every single bite was perfect!!

I paid approximately $2.50 for 2 dips. One ranch and one blue cheese. They were less than half full and not a good value.
The moons over my hammy bread was so flat it looked like someone put a rolling pin over it and then cooked it I wish I could attach a picture.
Now I know dennys in Monterey is a no go no matter what. This was the worst dennys I've had in my life. And I've had dennys all across the United States.
It's a shame when businesses want to cut corners and not pay people right. This is the result and it may save some money and make reports look good but the client/customer is who suffers along with the employees. Shame on you whoever is running this dennys on 300 Fremont street in Monterey.
Also I ordered after 10pm on a Saturday evening.
