#1 A la Carte options:
à la Carte - Enchilada 10/10 covered in piping hot cheese and absolutely incredible for $1.99!
I like to take a bite of the guacamole salad, pico, & sour cream that comes with the Chimichanga Fajita , with the ground beef enchilada.
#2 Chips: 9/10
The chips here at El Kanelo, always taste fresh and crispy. This is a big deal. I can't tell you how many times I have ordered from DoorDash from various joints, and received stale chips. Barf! But El Kanelo, always comes through!
#3 Dash Pass: 10/10
I order from them probably around 5-7 times per week. With the "DASH PASS," I can get just about any meal plus an "A la Carte extra," for under $20.00. Because I order so much, I try to budget and not over-order but sometimes I go all out and get extra cheese dip for the chips or spicy-guacamole sauce or even cheesecake. Trust me! I have tried just about every place on Dash from Durant, Oklahoma to Fairview, Texas, and El Kanelo will not let you down if you stick to your favorite dishes.
#4 Complaint of Onions or rather, overuse of onions: 0/10
I am not a super fan of grilled onions, I prefer them uncooked, and wish that I could remove them or at least have that as an option on every dish. But I am willing to try just about any dish that's topped with "the-set-up;" Sour cream, guacamole over lettuce, and pico. Sometimes you get extra salsa and it comes in handy for breakfast, if you like to make homemade taquitos. All in all you just can't beat Kanelo, even with all those hideous onions.
#5 What I hope for in the future:
I want to be able to order plates of food (like Chimichanga Fajita ) without grilled onions but with ground beef (not shredded stew meat) or fajita chicken (not shredded chicken) that is covered in hot cheese & the "set-up," with ZERO steamed onions.
#6 Conclusion:
Despite my hatred of steamed or cooked onions, El Kanelo, officially wins as the Best Mexican Food Choice (for Durant) on DoorDash Award. 9.5/10

El Kanelo hooks you up with fresh cheese sauce on top of your Chimichanga Fajita + the standard necessities for any Mexican meal, i.e;
Sour Cream, Guacamole, Pico, Lettuce, Tomato.... etc
But I always enjoy ordering their Side of Avocado Sauce to go with any burrito, tamale, quesadilla, steak (it makes everything on the menu taste better and goes down the smoothest with fresh, hot chips).
El Kanelo has really upped their game lately in my humble opinion. I look forward to doing future business with them. I would also like to thank, KOLTEN, my DoorDash Driver for bringing me hot and delicious food. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! 5/5

Fajitas Jalisco was missing the shrimp. Both orders of Fajitas had barely any meat, it was mostly peppers, onions, and grease. Mexican rice, and refried beans were shoved in same container and almost completely covered in Sour cream/guac/pico that wasn't even wanted. White queso was very chunky/full of stringy lumps.
