Best Mexican in Statesville. Usually not a huge fan of rice, but theirs is buttery and delicious. Meats tender and so much flavor. My new go to spot for tacos. Recommend the Pastor street tacos especially.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment the food hit the table, the taste was incredible—rich, authentic, and full of flavor in every bite. You can truly tell there’s a focus on freshness, from the perfectly seasoned meats to the vibrant toppings.
The portion sizes were generous, especially for the price—honestly, everything felt like a steal. The Gordita was packed and satisfying, the Carnitas with flour tortillas were tender and juicy, and the Quesabirria Tacos were absolutely next-level with that crispy, cheesy goodness.
A special shoutout to the owner and chef, Ivan, who clearly puts his heart into every dish. It shows not just in the quality of the food, but in the overall experience.
Would I order again? Absolutely—no hesitation. This is the kind of spot you keep coming back to.

I'm Mexican myself, and I've had good Gorditas from other Mexican restaurants, but hands down to you guys!! Yall make the best Mexican food by far, it reminds me of home when I eat y'all's food. I highly recommend "EL PRIMO." Best fresh Mexican food with great portions!

Consistently delicious, deliciously consistent. Fresh as heck. Tons of food. Order it a couple times a week. Quesa-Birria Tacos are everything, along with the Mexican Sausage Dip.

That poor fish was so dry it broke the fork. Which kind of confuses me.. how something that literally lives in water can manage to be THIS dry. That was $15 wasted. The ACP had mostly onions. This place is usually really good. It wasnt tonight.
