Combo 5 appears to be made  from scratch, unlike the typical Chinese food commonly found around here.   You get a huge amount  of food.  The Sweet & Sour Chicken has a very thin batter coating putting the emphasis on the chicken, always an excellent idea! The Egg Roll, Chicken Fried Rice and Lo Mein were all very good as well.

The only negative thing is that by putting all the food together, the rice became very heavy with the oils & grease from all the other foods put on top and around it.

They were small and very small amount of filling inside I think there was some corn too from the looks of it I mean for the price okay but they didn't even taste a hint of the imitation crab. I wouldn't order again but maybe something else on the menu is better.

We ordered combo 10 which included an egg roll,  breaded chicken, beef with broccoli, and rice.  We substituted noodles instead of the rice.  The breaded chicken did not have a lot of breading, however the chicken pieces were a little small.  The beef with broccoli was delicious and tender. I liked the sauces on the side.  The serving of noodles was huge and was really good as well.  Even the packaging was great.  We will definitely order from them again.

I have ordered from Empress 5 times now and every single time the food is perfection! Good quality meat. Vegtables always have a good about of bite left without being too hard. My person fav is their Curry Chicken, I think I could eat it daily! I will say the Beef with Broccoli is always a family favourite. The chicken balls are also a good ratio or meat and breading.

The Cantonese Chow Mein leaked hot sauce everywhere because the container had not been closed. The shrimp was tasteless...and there were three in the whole dish.The rice in the Combo 10 was also flavorless....dark colored, which would indicate some sort of flavor...so I am concerned about what actually made the rice dark. There were no napkins or untensils given, although they would have been soaked in the leaking sauce. Completely unsatisfied and I will not order from this place again.
