The individual sausage pizza was okay. The crust was decent, but it just didn’t wow me. It might be one of those pizzas that’s much better fresh out of the oven at the restaurant than after delivery. I’d be willing to give it another shot in person, but based on this order, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

I was really looking forward to the Country Style Rigatoni, but it was a huge disappointment. The pasta itself was incredibly bland and lacked the rich, hearty flavor I expected. There was also very little sausage or spinach, making it feel like I paid mostly for plain pasta. For the price, I expected a much more generous portion of the advertised ingredients. Unfortunately, this dish wasn’t worth the cost, and I wouldn’t order it again.

If you are going to hang an authentic Chicago style banner on your restaurant, it needs exacting standards. The pizza sauce isn't the same, the crust isn't buttery enough. The Italian Beef Sandwich leaves me asking, where's the beef. The bread is not the typical freshly made sour dough bun. The bread that is used definitely needs to be baptized in the au jus to come anywhere close to the flavor of an authentic Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich, and the giardiniera is skimpy. As much as I enjoy the DC dining experience, replicating my hometown favorites is a miss. Time to get it together or leave it alone.
