After I picked up my American son from school, he looked at me and said, “Mommy, I want to eat some lalo.”
I said, “Really??” 😂
He said, “Yes, please. Can you make some lalo?”
I said, “Uh-uh. Absolutely not!” 😂 I was NOT about to go buy lalo and spend four hours in the kitchen cooking it.
So I went on DoorDash, typed in “lalo,” and this restaurant popped up. I said, “Okay, I’m going to try it.”
But listen 😂 I had already made up my mind: if that lalo wasn’t good after I spent my money trying to please my son, I was coming back to write a long, long, LONG one-star review. 😂 And I’m normally not even the type of person to leave bad reviews. I usually just don’t say anything because I understand people aren’t perfect and everybody can have a bad day.
BUT BABY!!! 😭😂
When that food arrived and I took my first bite, I said, “WHAT?!”
The LALO was AMAZING. The LEGUME MIRLITON was AMAZING. Everything tasted so authentic.

Did not get rice & beans separately instead I received diri kole, the lalo had one little piece of meat & food was not cooked that same day.

rice was old and crunchy griot was dry And over cooked. legumes was amazing
