They have the BEST fried chicken & the BEST baked beans, those two are must when you order from here & I also get the fries or Mac n Cheese as well & I love how they put some of the chicken seasoning on top of the Mac. They are for sure hands down one of my top favorite places to eat at/order from<3

In my opinion Gus's has the best fried chicken in LA and the flavor doesn't get lost in delivery either. Always hot and delicious when I order! Don't even get me started on their sides... their mac is amazing and the collards are straight out of my grandmas kitchen!

Inconsistent. Since they opened I've known them to provide piping hot chicken that seemed to be cooked to order, bursting with juice from every bite. Lately it's appeared dark and more dry like it's been sitting under heat lamps, the flavor still intense and delicious as ever though no longer juicy. Also it's so damn expensive and the sizes of the pieces keep getting smaller and smaller. I swear my thigh was the size of a boiled egg... for $6. The breasts were small but acceptable but definitely finished in the immediate setting, none left to nibble on later. Sadly I no longer find GUS'S a good value for my money. It's very unfortunate because it really is so delicious but with a family of 5 this just will not get it. Damn near $8 fries and they not bursting out of the tiny paper bag. Also I loathe the packing. I don't want my food served in a paper bag ... but if it was still worth it I wouldn't even care. Now it just adds to my disappointment. I wonder if they do this to done in customers?

The chicken wings are way too small for the price, and it tastes like the chicken was reheated and not made to order. I'm from Arkansas, so I know how the other Gus's chicken tastes. This ain't it.

I've passed by this place for years and finally decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. The chicken tenders were cooked to perfection. It honestly reminded me of a mix between "Dinah's" and "Goldenbird". I'd eat here again and again and again because, yes, it's that delicious and gives me such a great false-sense of "healthy fried chicken", that I don't feel as bad if I eat more than I typically would, lol!!! I liked the baked beans as well as their greens, which I typically like mine greens more leafy than chopped, per se, but this was not mushy or extra vinegar-y, or too finely chopped that it lost its intent. I WILL definitely recommend Gus's and I will be ordering again, very soon in the near future! Thank you Gus for your World Famous Chicken!!!
