This is a hidden gem! The food is cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. The collard greens are tender and delicious. The Mac and cheese is nice and cheesy and baked. The serving size is generous and a new favorite spot for southern soul food. Soul Side Special.

Their soul food is unbelievably good. Especially the chicken and Whiting fish. They fry chicken better than my momma! (Don't tell her I said that) The portions are large and delicious. I pray they don't change.

I have travelled the world in the Navy. I am a sourthern Black man. Their chicken is the best I've ever had. I said it! Their Half and Half Ice Tea beats all others hands down. You know when you eat something thats so good, you can still taste it? That's HipHop fish and chicken off hwy 301. Their banana puding is delicious too. I have to force myself not to order every single day.

I want to take the time to acknowledge how good Hip Hop Fish and Chicken has been consistently for 5 years now. Without fail, their chicken and fish exceeds flavor and quality expectations that put some of my relatives to shame. (I said it). I am biased today because they gave me extra sauce. That made my day. They are one of the few restaurants that provide perfectly consistent quality of food without fail for 5 years straight. Thank you. Their deserts are actually good too, every time.
