The Onigiri Combo B (2 Onigiri)is delicious the size of the onigiri is great and it's so fresh and filling a perfect lunch sized portion. I can't wait to order it again!

They're the same size as regular onigiri but stuffed with more rice (I guess this is what makes them "Texas sized"?) and the flavors were either too salty/sweet or too bland. Definitely way overpriced for something you can get at a Japanese convenience store. The Custard Cream Obanyaki and the Matcha Obanyaki were dry and thick. The Takoyaki was a little too mushy. Overall, not a pleasant experience, so I cannot recommend it or reorder.

I have been searching for fresh onigiri that matches the incredible quality I experienced in Hawaii, and Hoshi Japanese Cafe finally delivered. The execution here is spectacular. I am currently planning a trip to Japan, and the standard of food at Hoshi is exactly the level of premium quality I hope to encounter during my travels there.
Every detail is well thought out, including the functional and pristine packaging that keeps everything fresh. As for the food itself, the flavors are remarkably precise. The Cream Salmon was incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced. I also tried the Texas Size Onigiri Spam & Egg, which was absolutely delicious, substantial, and packed with savory flavor. Hoshi Japanese Cafe is an absolute gem, and I will undoubtedly be a regular visitor.

The Hoshi Original Strawberry (Ichigo) Lemonade is very fresh and not overly sweet with lots of natural strawberry flavor! The onigiris are all delicious and definitely Texas sized, but have the perfect rice to filling ratio. My favorite onigiri was the Texas Size Onigiri Spicy Tuna!

Onigiri was soggy. Takoyaki was soggy with little meat. Matcha was not sweet at all. No flavor of butterfly pea. Portions were good though. Food seemed pretty fresh, just kinda disappointed. Would not order again.
