Best Italian restaurant in Middletown and surrounding towns, including Red Bank, and the best Italian restaurant I've been to in New Jersey!
The menu includes a lot more than the traditional pasta and pizza (both of which are amazing) to include a large selection of meat and seafood plus vegetarian and vegan options. They also have the option of customizing a lot of their dishes with different sauces, plus, its BYOB!
The only downsides are that the service can be a little slow when they are busy if you are used to really fast service and it can get a little loud during peak times, but this isn't a place for a quick bite, its an authentic Italian restaurant similar to the best places in the NYC area. Prices are fair in my opinion, especially during this inflation crisis, but again this is an authentic and high quality Italian restaurant, not an upscale pizzaria, and you get what you pay for. There is no official dress code but most people dress up a bit (I usually wear nice jeans and a polo type shirt, but you wouldn't be out of place in a suit and tie, or nice dress for the ladies either).
Me and my family have been here almost every week it seems, and the food is so good that the hardest part of the dining experience is deciding what you want!

Heck yeah il colosseo and it's not even close. The Amatriciana is fabulous, I love it. But I want to call out the Calzone, which has redefined calzones for me. I did not know a calzone could be like this and it's a revelation. Plus it reheats amazingly well for next day enjoyment.

I am very picky when it comes to chicken francese and find it very hard to get right. This has been the most flavorful Pollo Francese I've ever had. First bite the pasta is perfect, the sauce is the perfect balance of lemon, white wine, and butter, and the chicken is perfectly cooked and tender. and the portion is such a good amount. I've gotten this before and will get it again.
