This is not my first time eating at Kalaveras, but this was my first time ordering the Klassic Wet Burrito . OH MY GOSH, this was delicious. Every single bite was super flavorful. I got the asada, which was seasoned to perfection. I love this place, and each time I eat here, it never disappoints!

Kala Burrito was delicious and PACKED. Meat tasted fresh and the salsas and chips on the side were very appreciated. Thank you for the excellent meal!

Aguachiles el sancho loco can't be beat when it comes to this. They barely give you anything for $25. The flavor is whatever, but if you're a Aguachiles lover this isnt your place. Quesdilla was soggy, it was good but overpriced is what the rating is for.

I ordered the carne asad wet burrito with both salsa verde and salsa roja, and carne asada nachos. The wet burrito's salsas were lacking in flavor. The salsa verde was too sour, and the salsa roja tasted like tomato, salt and red chili, no garlic or onion. I was craving Mexican food and I was hoping calaveras was it. Simi valley doesn't have many choices after 8:00 unfortunately. The meat for both the burrito and the nachos weren't well seasoned, and both beans and rice were under seasoned as well. It cost an additional $8 to add carne asada to the nachos, and they put about an ounce of meat over it. I do not think it was worth the price. I even dug through the nachos to see if there was meat and toppings under all the chips! There was plenty of pickled red onions on top of the nachos, but it just tasted like vinegar and a slight taste of oregano, no salt. I had to remove all of that. This is my first time ordering from calaveras and I have not tried anything else from the menu. I wont be ordering from here for Mexican food anymore. The only thing I liked were the side chips that came with the burrito and the cheesecake lol. Sorry for the lenghty review but I was really dissappointed since it was also $50.
