• 4/6/25the lasagna was amazingly good, the calamari was not near worth the price, rubbery and overdone,but really should figure in that it was a delivery not right out to the table.

• 19/3/26$130 for two pasta dishes, a special pork dish, plus basic salad.
Everything was fairly bland.
I hate being catty but the Verdi Salad Large was only thing that got finished.
The Abituale had scant flecks of sausage, and was the most flavorful (but still got doused with red pepper). The Bolognese was... a little meatier but not by much, mostly a bland spaghetti block. Little to say about the Polenta Con Maiale, also bland but did have more meat but mostly a pile of disproportionate polenta to sauce and pork.
I feel bad leaving this review, but it was the most underwhelming meal I've eaten in Portland.
There were many leftovers.. every dish needed more to bring it together (cheese, meat, sauce...)

• 22/7/25The fettuccine was tasty. The calamari was very chewy (even for delivery standards), and they didn't include the sauce for it. The bread was nice but came with a side (in the bag with the bread) of sweet lemony curd/frosting, definitely not the butter I was expecting, so a bit of a surprise there. Basically some things were good but several mishaps.

• 7/1/25On new years eve, a bunch of us realized it had been ages since we ate at la buca. We ate there dozens of times. It became too inconsistent to deal with anymore. Fab pollo marsella and risotto sometimes, overcooked and sloppy other times. We just never think about it anymore. Out if sight out of mind. Too bad, on good days it was great.
