My favorite arepa from there is La Llanera. Steak is always tasty and the veggies they use are always fresh. The arepa itself is always soft warm and never hard. Always enjoyed the food from here

The beef is well-seasoned and would be great if they used it as an actual filling rather than as a garnish. They cut the quality of the tacos by putting rice and beans in them, which dilutes the flavor a lot- it's mostly a handful of rice and beans in a tortilla, and you only get a tiny bit of the beef you think you're paying for. The jalapeño salsa was good. The salsa verde doesn't taste like anything.
The menu doesn't mention that they put rice and beans in the taco. If I had known, I would have gone elsewhere and paid the same or less for more value and flavor.

The guac tasted like it had vinegar or something sour in it. Not great. The empanadas were small and bland and tasted like they'd either been fried in dirty/old oil or refried from the day before. Didn't taste fresh, more like something you'd pick up on a roadtrip from a 7/11 at 1am. Unfortunate.

I have no idea how I lived before trying these Arepas. Get them. Also, the plantains were cooked perfectly. I am hooked!!

some of the best food in evanston. never had a complaint about anything I've eaten here. even their vegan and vegetarian options are delicious.
