Before La Monarca, I had never had a guava croissant. It's my new breakfast obsession. The croissant itself is buttery and flaky, and the guava filling is a perfect sweet/salty combo and the amount of filling is just right. The perfect way to shake off the Monday blues!

I made a note that it was my moms birthday & they wrote a specialized happy birthday message on an edible butterfly to put on the flan cake. It was absolutely beautiful & tasted amazing!! It might have to be a yearly tradition!

The Oatchata Latte was cold, and the Chipotle Bacon & Egg Biscuit was more bread than any egg or bacon. I think there was maybe one half slice of bacon on the sandwich and barely any egg. The Concha's are always delicious, but we're disappointed in the rest of the food and drinks today.

Strawberry Shortcake ( Fresas Con Crema) Cake Slice
I ordered the strawberry shortcake and it was very dry and stale. There were almost no strawberries in the cake itself, they were not fresh either. Disappointing to spend nearly $10 on a tiny slice of old cake.

The champurrado is very comforting and warm. The overall texture of their puff pastries and Chipotle burrito are excellent. Any meal from here is a great choice, particularly breakfast.
