my family has been coming to Lou's for YEARS, and the sandwiches have always been consistent even over time and of course super yummy. My personal favorite is either Space Balls (meatballs, marina, all the fixins' on a soft roll), and the Hot Pastrami (warm pastrami with, you guessed it, all the fixins.)
Lou's cafe has been a huge part of my childhood, especially as a St. Gabe's student/alumni, and even after all these years is still my go to spot in the neighborhood for sandwiches, even now that I'm approaching college.
The staff are extremely friendly, especially Mark. Lou's is truly a staple community cafe in Parkside. Thanks Lou's for all that you guys do. <3

Fresh bread (that amazing gluten feeling) top quality meats & veggies, delicious dressings & sauces at a decent price. My new go to. Salads are great too!

Ami-Cado is definitely my favorite sandwich ever! the amount of avocado is so generous and it tastes especially good when combined with their house aioli.

Lou café is always the best. The risky business is the only best sandwich there. Great customer service they're always very friendly and very nice.

The serving of meat was very thin. The cup of chowder for $8 is crazy pricey. You can buy 8 cans of chowder for that price. TBH it tasted like it was straight from the can. The quality at Lou's has gone down hill.
