I like the Jägerschnitzel, they pack the sauce separately so the schnitzel doesn't get soggy.
The Pretzel With Obatzda is good. The pretzel isnt super fresh, which is understandable. The Obatzda is not super authentic but still tasty!
I'm from Munich and I sometimes order these items when im homesick, and it does a decent job satisfying those cravings.

Quality has fallen so far I can't order from here again. Kaisekrainer plate has always been incredible but the last two times have been cold, the sausage tastes artificially smoked and has bits of hard gristle that is a huge turn off. I hoped the first time was a fluke but on waiting some weeks and trying again, it's still just as bad. This used to be one of my favorite places. Incredibly disappointed.

The Thüringer Sausage was amazing. Sauerkraut always really tasty! Spätzle Cheese Croquettes are nice, but only three croquettes

I have had similar things at other German-style places and I would say Ludwig's is a contender for the top place. Their apple strudel has extremely good pastry. Also, although a simple appetizer, I really like their cucumber salad. I am looking forward to the San Jose branch being available through Doordash and I would also like to be able to order beer.

Main item was missing. Schnitzel was very small. Apfelstrudel was not fresh and very dry, it was also the end piece.
We called to complain and they were very unfriendly and unhelpful.
