Cake slices are a very solid option for a sweets craving - much better than the eponymous cupcakes which I find dry, while the cakes slices are moist and generous. Yes, the frosting is quite sweet as is the cake - if you prefer a more nuanced flavor or one that's dialed down, I'd suggest Magnolia is not your first option. My favorite is vanilla cake with chocolate frosting.

Bland and overly sweet at the same time. Banana puddling is still good, but everything else was disappointing. Lemon Bar not tarte, cheesecake very sweet , blondie was bland. It was delivery maybe it's better fresh , but it tasted like a recipe issue

Ordered a slice of vanilla cake excited for a fresh , moist piece of heaven. The cake was likely baked at least six days ago. Spent $20 when all was said and done on a piece of dry, stale "cake" with no flavor.

I think because it was the end of the day, the cupcakes weren't fresh. They were actually stale and a bit hard as well. Such a disappointment, being from out of town I wanted the experience of having Magnolias again :(
