Not sure if the store changed hands or they got a new cook or something but this definitely was Not the excellent meals I had come to expect. The chicken was cut into large chunks instead of usual tender slices, the rice was way over cooked and mushy, the salad was no longer chilled but instead warmer than room temperature and for some reason the rice balls were already swimming in teriyaki (maybe drivers fault) .
It's not as if it was inedible and I certainly had worse the chicken was ok (a little on the tough stringy side) the flavor was kinda there but after eating a 1/3, I found I had no desire to finish the meal. I feel very conflicted because this restaurant consistently delivered amazing food for the last 10 years that really demonstrated the chef's pride and business' commitment to excellence... they truly wanted you to enjoy every part of your meal; yet what I got today was sadly disappointing and not appetizing in the least.
I know they were on hiatus for a long period of time so I pray things improve because they really used to be a true hidden gem.
