Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed with how far the quality of this place has fallen.
The last two times I’ve ordered for pickup, I’ve received what can only be described as an embarrassing amount of chicken. I’m not exaggerating when I say there were literally two slices of chicken in my meal. Two. For the prices being charged, that’s unacceptable.
The avocado has also been consistently bad. It doesn’t taste fresh at all. It has a rubbery texture, like it’s been sitting around far too long before being served. The freshness and overall food quality have declined tremendously compared to what this place used to be.
On top of that, the service has become increasingly frustrating. During one visit, I stood waiting for about eight minutes for my pickup order while staff completely ignored me. It wasn’t even close to rush hour. Eventually, a bartender had to come over and help me get my food. That should never happen.
Maybe it’s just my experience, but I’ve also felt like I’m treated differently than other customers. The staff often come across as rude and dismissive, which only makes the disappointing food even harder to overlook.
This used to be a place that treated people with respect and consistently served great food. Unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case. The decline in both quality and service has been impossible to ignore. It’s disappointing to see what was once a favorite spot fall this far.
All good things must come to an end, I guess.

I have had marketplace in the past, and it just keeps getting worse. The dynamite shrimp dish was not worth $24.99, it was sticky rice thrown in a container with half chopped cabbage and chunks of scallions and red peppers and whole peanuts. The shrimp was ok that was in it. Also the NY strip steak I ordered for my son was all grisle.
Perhaps, it's a bit better ordered in the restaurant?
Im really let down, we usually love marketplace and have no problem spending $80+ for two people... not this time!

Marketplace burgers are amazing. The Kobe Burger especially. I very much appreciate their thick juicy patties, in a world where thin smashed burgers have somehow become all the rage.

These 2 fish tacos cost almost $20. They weren crisp and had no salt at all. The slaw had some weird spice - coul even eat it.
