When Chai Siriyarn founded his renowned Marnee Thai restaurant in San Francisco in 1986, he sought to provide his customers a taste of Thai cuisine and culture that would transport them to the country…
Great for take out or dine in. Been coming here for many years and it remains a favorite place for Thai. Staples like Satay, Pad Thai and curries are done well-noodles are cooked perfectly and curries have rich flavor. Lots of vegetarian options. When corn fritters are available they are a must try. Roasted duck, fish fillet with garlic is excellent as are salads and soups. Service is attentive. Parking can be challenging but it's so worth it!

I had approximately 8 bites of edible food in the soup. The rest was lime leaves and inedible lemon grass and GIANT pieces of ginger. Maybe I got the bottom of the soup but I barely got 4 mushrooms and three pieces of chicken. I was able to count it, there was so little food. For 20+ this was kind of egregious. I ended up making dumplings and chopping bok choy to throw in the broth to give it something.

Good spice level on the green curry, but it seemed a little overly salty. They packaged everything VERY well! The Thai iced teas is absurdly small for $8 and not a good value. Really need to have an option to include utensils.

The Roasted Duck was $25 and we only were able to get about 2-3 good bites in, mostly just fat and skin. Pad see ew tasted like nothing and the chicken was not edible. Pad Thai was decent but minimal chicken in there
