We love Mel's. Almost always order their breakfast meals. This time we got an egg white veggie omelette w crispy hash browns. They use a generous amount of chopped veggies. Their staff is awesome. Bonus note: Really fun place to go after a night out on Halloween.

Everyone always wants a bigger steak, but this was still a good size and the taste really shines through. I ordered medium well and this was prepared exactly like that. Tasted fresh, good size sides and bread

The Grilled Cheese and tomato soup were both fantastic! The grilled cheese was the perfect crispy and on the outside, even after being delivered. The tomato soup was delicious. Nothing spectacular but instead just a great, hearty, flavorful soup. And who doesn't enjoy a milkshake?

Had the BLT sandwich with avocado and sweet potato fries. The sandwich was very good. The sandwich was packaged separate from the fries. The fries were fresh. The food was prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
The biggest plus was they provided condiments and napkins....
Would order again.,

I have many years experience cooking in and managing restaurants and also delivery orders, so I handled all of this very successfully to make sure the customer got the best results with their food deliveries. I was disappointed today and surprised today with my order. I've always loved Mel's diner. The food has always been great! The pancakes were great, but the Reuben barely had any pastrami on it. Any time I've had it -It's always had more than enough pastrami , so this really surprised me. When you're paying $20.00 for a sandwich this should not happen. Also, I wanted to make a note to put the Russian dressing on the side because when it's put on the hot sandwich in the container the heat and steam cooks the Russian dressing and it breaks and doesn't taste the same and immt was a loose mess in the container. They don't allow this option, which is definitely a negative because with experience I know it can make a huge difference. I ordered and paid for a side of strawberries for my pancakes and a side of walnuts. I was charged for both. They gave me about 6 thin slices of a strawberry, and they put them on top in the container, so when my food arrived the steam in the container made them very hot and soggy. Again, I would have put these I'm on the side. Separately , they never sent any walnuts that I was charged for, and it is indicated on the receipt. I hope the restaurant takes all of the constructive criticism I've mentioned into consideration to better serve their Customers. People are paying a lot of money, and the quality should be high priority.
