Fulfilling a craving of authentic Jamaican food. I could only really compare the dishes to a friend's Jamaican food and restaurants we tried in Florida. Definitely fall off the bone jerk chicken and the oxtail had great flavors! I originally ordered the white rice but they ran out. The clerk removed it from my order and asked for me to reorder the substitute I requested which was the rice and peas. But since I ordered later in the evening, DoorDash wouldn't allow me to order saying they were closed. I believe the manager Kevin said it would be on the house. So thankful for a great first experience! The rice and peas were a hit! Packed with flavor!! Anyone ordering just white rice is missing out!

First time eating and I got the $31 plate and it was a good portion (both of the small sections of the plate had Oxtail, the big section had a bunch of the rice and peas, and then under one of the big pieces of oxtails there was like 5 plantains). The oxtail was delicious but I needed more sauce for my rice and peas. I like my rice and peas a little more moist but it tasted good. The plaintains I got wasn't very sweet and I prefer sweet plantain. Then I got the Beef Pattie’s. The pic is post first bite that's why it's zoomed in. I really enjoyed the crust but I wish the filling was more saucy. If I was to order again, I would get just the oxtails and beef patty. I do want to note I was confused what was the difference between the $16 and $31 plate and I am assuming the $16 is just oxtails no sides.

Great portions, extremely hot and fresh as always! Tasted like it came straight out of the pot. The jerk chicken was juicy and perfectly charred, my oxtail came with extra gravy just perfect. I did have 5 pimento in my rice and peas though but i caught them before biting down

I really like Mintos but this time my order was not the best. The chicken was dry as well as the rice and peas. It's like a hit or miss unfortunately this time I missed. On the other hand the portions are a great size. You could share with another person.
