As a family owned business, it was important that the atmosphere of the restaurant itself be welcoming to patrons of all ages. Mom Can Cook gained its reputation by offering a wide assortment of authe…
I'm in from out of town staying at a local hotel. I got the CU1 Panang w/tofu + a side of rice. (HOT TIP: technically this is not vegan BUT they do have a vegan option!) If you are ordering for two, you could probably honestly share, or if you're fat like me, you can eat the whole thing and then feel REALLY full afterwards as I do now. I clearly loved it since I ate the whole thing! Also very appreciative that they read my special instructions + omitted the green beans as requested. Would 100% recommend!

He AC3. Orange Chicken was very mushy! The flavor was fine. The portion was very small!! They put it in a bowl and filled it with a bunch of cabbage!
AC4. Garlic and Pepper was good but it cost us 16.00 for very little portion just like the AC3. Orange Chicken dish!
AP4B. Fried Thai Dumplings was just okay. You definitely need the sauce they give you! We got the chicken one and we didn't really taste it!
NO1. Pad Thai the Rich & Famous was good! Good flavor. Just dry it was hard to portion out.
Thai Iced Tea was very yummy!!!!! One of the best I ever had!

This was absolutely delicious. I'm not a fan of papaya, but read about is health benefits and based on that, decided to order it. I'm not sure what papaya I had before, but this salad is amazing. not a huge fan of shrimp, but the salad is phenomenal.
Their panang has always been the best in the SCV. Always. I also ordered a side of steamed white rice and steamed white rice is just that. Enough said.
Last item ordered were the fried dumplings. I'm a HUGE fan of water chestnuts and these dumplings are packed with them. the sauce that goes with them is also very good.
all of these items I would order again. However, I have had their Pad Thai and would never order that again. I love Pad Thai, but not from Mom Can Cook.
I do look forward to trying new things. Every restaurant has a specialty, for me so far, the three items I ordered tonight are specialties.
Also, I can handle spicy food and I usually stick with three on items here.

The Thai IcedTea was the best! The pad thai was greasy and flavorless. The orange chicken was all coating and very tiny chicken pieces. The green Curry soup was good.
