I typically order from Panther cave at least every two weeks and usually get the same meal because it’s been consistently good. The last two times, my plantains were missing from my bowl, but I didn’t make a big deal about it and just took the food home and ate it.
This time, though, something was definitely off. I genuinely believe there may have been a different chef in the kitchen because the quality was noticeably worse. The chicken was burnt, the tomatoes were completely mushy and mixed into mushy rice before I even touched it, and the onions were inconsistent — half raw and half sautéed — with way too much added to the bowl. I also specifically asked for no queso frito and still received it. On top of that, some of the bell peppers were not fully cooked.
I normally enjoy eating here, which is why this experience was disappointing enough for me to leave a review. I hope the quality and attention to orders improves because this was not the standard I’m used to from Panda King.
