Oh my god that chocolate cake is to die for!! I haven't tried the lemon or german chocolate cakes yet, but believe me when I say that one slice was GOOD!! I don't normally eat cakes because I find them quite meh, but that chocolate cake was moist, held together amazingly well, and the frosting was generous without being too much. The whole cake was chocolatey af but wasn't too sweet because of the dark chocolate elements. Easily one of the best cakes I've ever purchased if not THE best. Will definitely be back before I leave portland. Also, the size of that slice was enough to keep me snacking on it for over an hour while I read a book, it was very thick and almost never ending. My bag with the 3 slices was unexpectedly heavy, they definitely give you your money's worth in every way. HIGHLY recommend!!

The Haydn Steak Burger was fantastic: cooked exactly how I wanted, white cheddar with fresh vegetables, and the bun cooked prior, giving the inside a nice crisp.
The cakes were, of course, top tier. I personally got the Raspberry Gateau and Passion; I would have also received the marionberry cheesecake, but they were out of it.
I was originally scouting out if the cakes here were worth the price tag for a birthday, and I have to say: these cakes are worth a VERY special occasion. Yes, the pricetag fits the slice; presentation is half the point of a cake, and Hadyn definitely delivers. But it would be overpriced if the taste didn't match. On this point, I underestimated them: they taste BETTER than I thought they would. I don't care for overly sweet cakes with too much sugar, and these cakes are NOT; the ganache is especially complex, with tart raspberries to blend with the bitter dark chocolate of the cake, which is dense, but moist.
Overall, both fantastic cakes. Worth the price.

The Slice of German Chocolate Cake was to die for. Delicious! I was a little disappointed in the Slice of Raspberry Gateau (GF). It was very small and the raspberries lacked flavor. You will get more bang for your buck buying a slice of the cakes. I would order the cake slices again, but not the Slice of Raspberry Gateau (GF) .

Passion immediately started making my mouth water while I was eating it.
Bourbon Ball you're gonna wanna eat half of it. And then save the other half, because it's so good, you're gonna want it a second time. It will take very strong self control lol. Side Salmon kind of a small piece but surprisingly, a lot of salmon is so much good flavor in that piece.It was quite filling with the rest of the dinner that I had prepared.
Honestly, everything from this place is delicious.It's not just desserts, it is a whole experience that takes you out of reality and puts you into a state of calm gratitude and better tasty heaven.

I had a slice of cheesecake from Jo Bar last week and it was wonderful and full sized... this was TINY- thin....scrawny... really disappointed. Didn't hold together... so very different than the beautiful hefty slice from Jo Bar...
