The food was good this morning for my first time ever having it. I had to get it again for a midnight snack. The Combo Gyro with white sauce and red hot sauce OMG AMAZING!!!!!! I wish we had this back home. You cant beat these prices. Everything is NYC is expensive, but Sammys is wallet friendly. But they dont skip the quality or the flavor. Im a believer and will be going back tomorrow for a breakfast Gyro before heading home.

We are visiting from Texas and got in late to our hotel. To our surprise this place was still open, so we ordered the Lamb Gyro with white sauce along with some waters and toasted pita. It was by far the best Lamb Gyro we have ever tasted! The meat just melted in your mouth and the pita bread was delicious and soft! Absolutely would order it again!

Don't order the extra meat! When this place was called Sammy's the portions were bigger, and, when you ordered extra meat, it would come on the side. Nowadays, the bowls are more lettuce heavy and they don't add any extra meat to the meal at all. The extra meat is almost $5 and you'd be better served throwing it out your window.

Pretty standard halal food, but the portions are on the smaller side compared to most other Halal places. I would rate the Combo Gyro a 7/10, but the Combo over Rice a 6/10 because the spicy rice wasn't the best.

I ordered the chicken gyro thinking it would come with the cabbage and not the usual mix, but it was mainly just meat, so I guess I still got my money's worth. The combo was very light in meat, just enough to cover the rice. I swear I've gotten more when ordering in person. Everything was just okay.
