food was so good and fresh. so glad to have a nice option that isn't $50 a person.

I have always bragged about this location being one of the best BBQ joints locally. Unfortunately the last two times Ive had them deliver the ribs were dry and not real appetizing.
This latest order was no different. Maybe a new pit boss? Perhaps One last issue I have. I ordered a simple COKE. I was delivered a small cup and was charged $3.24. FOR A SMALL COKE? I was quite surprised.
Anyways I am done complaining. I will try again but hopefully things get better.

I will try a place 3 times. I will not go over 2 for here. Both times food ended up being trashed. First order, the pulled chicken was food, but pulled pork and fries were horrible. For this order, we got 2 orders of 1/4 lb Beef Brisket*, it was basically all fat. We also got the Pint Mac & Cheese. The cheese was pretty much water. There is no seasoning on any of it. The cost was high for the small amount of food so I expected it to be good. It was very disappointing.

I had expected at least decent food from here since my friends recommend it usually. However, and I might be crazy, everything kind of tasted the same? The sauces all tasted the same (I didn't expect much since it's mainly different based on spice level) but the meat honestly tasted the same too. I had 1/4 lb Beef Brisket , 1 rib, pulled pork, and polish sausage -- out of these the only one that tasted different that I really reached for was the sausage. I thought maybe because I got sauce on the side the meat was dry but even after adding sauce it still remained dry somehow?
Some of the sides were good, the Mac and cheese was mid at best but I did love the baked beans. I also had the battered French fries, but they were cold and still dripping in grease so I'm not sure what was going on there. I know it's fried but the amount of grease was kinda insane. Also the batter was a lot thicker than some may expect. It was like funnel cake batter thick, it made it hard to eat because of the texture.
The Texas toast tasted like it may be old? Not old like bad but old like just not fresh. Weirdly stale?
For the price the portion isn't horrible but I don't think it's worth it since there are other options.
Probably not going to order again BUT I do suggest making your own opinion by trying since everyone is different and taste is subjective. I'm sure the team at penguins Ed's is lovely but I'm just not into the food.

Jumbo BBQ Pulled Pork meat wasn't too good, especially compared to Whole Hog. sandwich completely fell apart from the very beginning. Tiny sides.
