I recommend the Vegetable Plate, with great selection of vegetables to choose from and the Small Chef Salad which is not small, but also delicious and plentiful. Roast Beef was very tender and delicious!

First time trying Po Melvins. Best yams I've tasted in a long time. Nice size portions, everything tasted fresh. No fault to the restaurant but I'm not a fan of boiled cabbage. If you are them you will like it. The black eyed peas and red beans and rice were seasoned really well. The fried catfish tasted fresh. Not greasy. The batter did fall off, which made it even better for me. I would order again for my NYE dinner.

CFC was perfect as well as the yams, mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans did spill out into the container so it was messy but soso good.
Very expensive but I'll get 2 meals out of it since the portions are fairly ample.

The Roast Beef (in a Rich Brown Gravy) was good, great flavor. The rice and beans, yams and potato with gray was good also. The only bad thing was the Root Beer, it tasted very nasty. It was a good portion for 1 person. I would get again.

I got the fried catfish and some gumbo and both were very delicious. Plenty of shrimp and crab meat in the gumbo. It's flavorful and very filling. The only thing I didn't care for were the fries. They were thick cut and soft and bland.
