Im not even half way through eating and had to review. Listen , I dont even like greens but it came with the meal so I accepted them. O-M-G. Everything is fire!!!! Including the greens. Big pieces of meat in them. The Hennesy Wings are grade A. Everything was worth every dime. Found me a new go to spot!!!

I tried Savory Souls Kitchen last night via Door Dash. It was my first time eating there. Ouuu Wheee, I just had to leave a review! I only tried 3 dishes (Hennessy Wings; Collard Greens; Yams) for this 'test run' . The verdict? I cannot wait to return (I'm actually considering it again tonight!)!!!!
Those wings were so unique and delicious! I smelled the Hennessy as soon as I opened the container; and it gave the wings an awesome flavor!
The collard greens were my litmus test. Boy, I was so pleasantly surprised. So many restaurants fail with the greens. But not Savory Souls Kitchen! That 'potlikka' broth was so rich and flavorful. OMGoodness, I wish I'd ordered 2 servings!
The yams were also good. They were spiced properly. I must honestly admit though, when I compare the restaurants's yams to mine, I like mine better. Still, I was not disappointed with my yams at all last night.
The catering menu seems much more extensive than the restaurant offerings. I know I will use them to help supplement the dishes at my next shindig, whether it's a routine cookout, or a holiday meal!
I am so happy to find Savory Souls Kitchen! I love foods from cultures worldwide. Collin County desperately needs more soul or southern leaning eateries. Thank you for giving us this great place to honor us with such great comfort foods.

Don't let the size of the veggie bowls fool you! The Savory candied yams were delicious. The Macaroni and cheese was quite savory. The Collard greens with smoked turkey was delightful and the Garlic Mashed potatoes hit a home run!!!! I tasted nothing but good home cooking. The kind that "sticks to your ribs" :) Thanks for reminding me of "home"!!!! Stay savory and I will be visiting again.

The food is top tier, and fresh. Savory Souls catered a birthday dinner for my sister 21st birthday! Let's just say the fried catfish is the bomb! The seafood boil sauce had a perfect blend! You can't go wrong! Food is seasoned to perfection! Can't wait to try the Henn. Wings! Forever Customer!

I have been craving some good soul food since my spot in Plano is always closed down. The smothered Smothered Pork Chop was delicious, tender and thick with well seasoned gravy. Some of my rice was a little crunchy but it was hardly noticeable once in the gravy. The Savory candied yams were perfect, not too sweet, no uncooked pieces and great flavor. The Macaroni and cheese was good, but not banging. It was creamy and even though the cheese had a nice pull I felt like it needed a couple more cheeses with more robust flavor. Nothing to complain about on the green beans. The cornbread muffins should be wrapped in paper because the foil makes them soggy and wet.
This is a very expensive Doordash meal. Porkchops, rice, green beans, Mac and cheese, yams and 2 Honey butter corn bread muffins was $50. I'm glad the portions were nice or this wouldn't have been worth it. All in all good food and I'd definitely be up to trying other menu items.
