I’ve been ordering from Shawarma Royale in Newmarket for quite a while now, and their Shish Taouk deserves its own fan club. It’s hands-down the closest to authentic Lebanese shish taouk I’ve had in Canada — fresh chicken, balanced seasoning, and that unmistakable flavour you only get when it’s done right.
What really stands out is the consistency. Every single order arrives hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The condiments are always crisp, the bread never soggy, and the chicken always tastes fresh, not reheated. They clearly take pride in what they serve.
On top of the food, the service is incredible. The team is friendly, fast, and genuinely caring. The handwritten note they sent with my last order speaks volumes — they don’t just run a kitchen, they build relationships.
Highly recommended. Shawarma Royale has become my go-to, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
