Long review incoming. I have a love hate relationship with Sidewinders. I love their S pretzel, they have solid chicken strips, their smashburger is on-par with other restaurants in the area, their sauces are AMAZING [ranch, potsticker sauce (which is kind of like a slightly savory yum yum sauce), BBQ ranch, and 1000 island dressing], their spinach and artichoke dip is the BEST I've ever had (seriously SO GOOD), and their fettucini alfredo is wonderful (rich creamy sauce that tastes fresh and homemade in a good way). I used to think that their fries were some of the best in Bozeman, but they changed them recently and I'm not a fan. The old fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside without being too thick. The new fries are more soggy and not very crispy. Their falcon pizza was dry and lacked flavor, and their jalapeño popper grilled cheese was AWFUL. I threw it away (bread was just standard white bread and filling lacked flavor). Their side of mac & cheese was also disappointing and lacked flavor (tasted more like buttered noodles than mac & cheese). Thus, overall, sidewinders is a great restaurant in Bozeman minus some of their menu items.

Usually love sidewinders. Pretzel? Amazing. Pizza? Amazing? Brussels Sprouts amazing! Etc etc. the BLT though is a no go. Dinky sandwich that had one tomato and one piece of lettuce, maybe 2 pieces of bacon. Was super weird. Love everything i have had from here otherwise

I've ordered this dish many times! It's one of my favorites usually. This time it was a sad portion. Like it didn't even cover the bottom of the dish. They forgot the dinner roll and even though I live right down the street from them, it came dead cold. Definitely not a $30 dish.

They changed their fries this year from beer battered (or at least that was what they seemed like) to handcut/natural, and they are BAD! I'm all for handcut fries if they crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, but these ones are soggy and unflavorful. They should try to learn from Five Guys or bring back their old fries. The "S" pretzel was good, though.
