Beef dip was great but, I feel a bit skippy on beef and the bun would be nicer somewhat toasted. I paid extra for onions, glad I did because otherwise it would have just been some roast beef on a big bun. Fries are great.
8 pickle spears for 14.00, pretty standard but also pretty pricey. At least they were great

First time ordering takeout from here! I used to come here in person all the time.
Shepherds pie was amazing and fish and chips was great except for the fries portion. The amount of fries barely covered the bottom of the little box but the gravy side was at least 4oz.
Also, the Plastic Cutlery is not plastic as the menu specifically states. Instead, it's that awful wood type. If you have sensory issues like I do, call ahead as the wood made it hard to eat.
I would order the shepherds pie again. I'm from the maritimes so I appreciate the fish but needs more chips. :)

I have ordered a few items from this pub and hands down, I must say their shepherd's pipe will take you back to mama's kitchen It's always made consistently. Very tasty with both the lamb & beef. The standard mixed veggies topped by fluffy mashed potatoes. l've never been let down. A 'TOP' plate for a reason but they must have had a difficult time in choosing. Now, if only we can keep stacking great reviews from LETTING kitchen ego's forget it was their blood, sweat and tears & (someones) MONEY that built this empire. Let's see if they can keep it. 😉

ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib which are amazing. Also ordered the Apple Pecan Salad but they forgot to put on the dressing so have no idea how it tastes. Will have to go to the grocers to get a dressing for the salad. The meal total after tip was over $50. Not cheap.
