• 16/1/25This place is authentic and great if you know what you're looking for. I was craving for Cantonese food and the Roast Duck (Whole) that comes with the sweet/sour duck sauce (suan mui jiang) hit the spot. I loved the Sizzling Mixed Mushroom & Beef: it was savory, a good portion of everything, and had wok hay.

• 29/3/26I've been coming to Tasty Kitchen for a few years now and I always will come back whenever I visit Davis!
The Ma Po Tofu (Hot & Spicy) is my favorite item on the menu!
Flavorful, great szechuan pepper flavor and numbing, delicious! I recommend ordering a side of white rice with your mapo tofu.
My food always comes out perfectly and tastes freshly made.
Portion sizes are great too, I almost always have leftovers to take home.

• 7/9/23Everything was enjoyed by all 😁 The Salty Spicy Tofu was much better than I expected or hoped it'd be! 😋 - even though it wasn't that salty or spicy (more jalapeno topping maybe, or a spicy dipping sauce?). The Salty Egg Yolk Bun (3) is good - the yolk is like a sauce (not hard boiled) and overall they're more sweet than I expected, maybe instead of "salty" what they might mean is closer to "savory"?😉 House Special Sizzling Tofu w. Japanese Style has a bunch of shrimp and scallops in it - which I like but wasn't expecting (thinking about it makes me want to go eat some more). The other stuff I haven't tried yet (the portions are rather big btw so we're all full with a bunch leftover 😄) but both of my partners told me that their dinners were good 😋
The only complaints are that - either they forgot one of the sides of rice or... their sides of rice are small and they put them both in a single box ? 🤷🏻♀️ Also, some oil/sauce leaked in the bag 🫤 but maybe just because of the dasher 🤔 maybe adding a couple extra napkins but idk 🤭
We've ordered from them a few times before, and I usually try to get something that I've never had before; sometimes it's not my "cup of tea" but it's always been very well made and yummy 😋
It'd be really nice if the dishes had better descriptions even if it was just added a bit at a time, it'd add up and be very helpful (for a lot of folks lol, like me 🤦🏻♀️).

• 25/4/25The food was hot! The Orange Chicken was good but not crunchy by the time it got to us so I won't DoorDash that again. The Veggie Chow Mein are always delicious and have the perfect balance of veggies and noodles.

• 10/11/23Sautéed Mushroom w. Tofu is definitely a favorite. Also, the House Special Fried Rice did not disappoint and they're generous with the amount of seafood and meat included!
