This is my very favorite restaurant in San Carlos. I go there or get delivery at least 2x per month (sometimes more). The food is delicious and the service -- whether dining-in or picking up -- is always gracious.

The French Mustard Chicken was not a dish it was a masterwork of profound equilibrium. The chicken breast, rendered impossibly succulent through. Upon it, a Dijon velouté of such breathtaking elegance that it redefined the very concept of sauce. This was a seamless, alchemical emulsion of piquant vibrancy and silken opulence, a perfectly calibrated dance on the palate. Every accompanying element the impossibly smooth pommes purée, the crisp saline bite of the pancetta wrapped asparagus was not a subordinate "side," but an essential participant in a harmonious, unified whole. It was a dish with a soul, a testament to a chef who does not merely cook, but composes. The conclusion arrived in the form of the Homemade Bread Pudding, the culmination of a flawless narrative. Here was the genius of the kitchen on full display. It was a sublime textural marvel, a dialectic of sensation where the warmth of the pudding met the precise, crystalline cold of the vanilla bean ice cream. The caramel sauce, a true caramel cooked to the precipice of bitterness, provided a complex, adult counterpoint to the sweetness, while the fresh strawberries sliced through the richness with surgical acidity. This was not a dessert. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated bliss that bordered on the divine.

Caesar salad was crisp and cut nicely. We ordered the large. It would have been nice to have two salad dressing containers. The steak was tough. I would not order it again. The onion rings were few and commercial. The mash potatoes were okay and the vegetables were good. Lot of money for a mediocre dinner.

I ordered food for my daughter's graduation party. The owner was very nice on the phone and at pick up, the restaurant also offered to help us bring the many items to our car. I think it helped that my pick up time was at 4 pm which is not a peak time. My guests liked all the food, especially the sausage rigatoni. The food was warm and cold items were fresh.
