Consistent flavour, great piri piri but chicken is rarely cooked enough. Moist but slightly rubbery. Not crispy or browned like it is in their menu photos or like other restaurants do their Portuguese chicken. I always request my chicken more well done and crispy but never get it that way

Toma La Upper James go above and beyond for customers. The food is excellent, and better quality than that other chicken franchise that can only produce dry, salty chicken. The service at this location is exceptional. I've ordered delivery often from this location, and today, Skip failed to deliver my order to the correct address. As a result, I had to re-order through Door Dash and this time, the order arrived without issue. Imagine my delight when I unpacked it to find that staff at Toma had sent free dessert and a lovely note apologizing for Skip's mistake. THIS is customer service. Ensuring that a customer is happy even when you're not responsible for an undelivered order. Thanks to the management and staff of Toma La Upper James for restoring my faith.

Their portions (they sent the smaller pieces of chicken) used to be way more than what I just got or did the delivery guy ate some of it? Too bad Toma La lower their portions the price of what I paid for it. I would buy a whole chicken from Fortinos for even a better price. Too bad!
