Wow- what a great mushroom/swiss hamburger and fries! I appreciate the fact it was cooked exactly how I ordered it. The whole order was correct and everything was in the bag, right down to ketchup packets and a straw. The food was delicious! I will definitely order again- was well worth the money. Thank you very much! And the Dasher was awesome-- very quick and courteous!

Perfect, as always!! A special treat to myself when I petsit in Athens. It may be the best burger I have ever had! And the chips - always get a coouole orders of those- crispy snacks for the time I am here!

If you're going to sell sides a la carte, I expect a la carte portion sizes. Onion Strings were stuffed in a small box with a burger. Amount is equivalent to what you would expect a small to be from any other establishment - less than a handful. This is a new practice. Previously you could buy 1 order to share with 3-4 people. Now it's about 1/8th the serving size.

I've loved Twisted Root since they had a location in Tyler. I was sad when it closed. Then I learned they were coming to Athens and I was ecstatic! I ordered dinner for my partner and I tonight and I have thoughts.
PROS: Best burger in Athens, hands down. I love having the ability to choose my burger's level of doneness. Cheese fries are DELICIOUS!
CONS: There were a considerable amount of things missing. My partner and I both ordered Sriracha on our burgers and there was none. There were no straws provided for our drinks. The drinks were TINY. For what they charge they should have been larges. Burgers should come with fries. You shouldn't have to order fries separately.
Now, most of these issues are likely down to them being newly opened and being slammed with orders. I totally understand and hope they will improve because I've sung Twisted Root's praises for years and don't want new customers thinking they don't hold themselves to a high standard.

Party Melt, both my husband and son said they were good, but dry and it appeared it didnt have any sauce so they put the sauce we had at home on it and it was ok. Build Your Own, mine on the other hand was really delicious. Hand-Punched Fries were good but unfortunately bit on the cold side,guess thats what I get for door dashing vs going in. Onion Strings these were so good it did not even matter the temperature. All in all this is not the last time we have twisted root but more than likely the last time we door dash twisted root.
