I'm from the original Voodoo donut land of Portland and I was sorely disappointed in Seattle's version of taste, quality, and appearance. I ordered TWO DOZEN individually hand-picked gourmet donuts which was very spendy. The Voodoo doll was up to par, but that was about it. They stacked some of the bigger donuts so the icing stuck to each other. Many were stale and flavorless and the decor askew at best. But the apple fritters, which are usually amazing, were the WORST! Total grease! And not a single apple chunk to be found. Truly awful! Shame on you Voodoo! You can and should do better!

Despite the reputation these are mid to below-average donuts unfortunately. Some of the flavors are delicious (the old dirty bastard is a favorite), some too sweet (butterfingerling), without flavor (churro) - and what really gets me is the fritters are straight up burnt and obviously so as they’re black around the edges. I came late night the last time around so they had closed the lobby, so service was also lacking in that there was only a singular person working their window and despite having placed the order about an hour before arriving she still packed it after I showed up. They also smash them all on top of each other in cake-sized boxes, which is bizarre to me.

Unfortunately these are just not tasty at all...I was super excited to try them based on all the hype, but they're just cute. The base donut doesn't taste fresh, and the toppings are all that differentiate the donuts. Sure, they're 'large' but sadly overpriced for what they are -- unflavorful yeast raised donuts. I got the Voodoo Dozen to try a few, but wont be returning. Support a local mom and pop shop instead, at least there is variation and flavor.

Kinda cold and stale, but I did order at night so I can't complain that must. Honestly the doughnuts are just too much, too much icing toppings sweetness. It looks good in theory, but regular donuts do the trick. I felt my arteries clogging while eating the peanut butter Oreo donut it took me two days to get through it. lol still ate it tho.
