"This place is literally perfection. Always delicious. The cali bowl is so filling, the lemon chicken soup always hot and amazing, and the pita bread omg... it's so good! Love this place and the friendly faces who work here!"
"The Dolma (4 Pieces) are DELICIOUS! I love the addition of pomegranate. The Cali Bowl is great, creamy tahini and veggies are perfect together. The Crispy Cauliflower is definitely NOT crispy. It is mushy. Flavor is off; needs work.
Falafel (5 Pieces) also needs work; they were small and overcooked. "

"Always consistently delicious and very generous portion size - juicy lamb & beef pita for him and veggie tzatziki falafel for me, both with spicy pickle green dipping sauce on the side. Yum! Those fries are perfect - lightly salted, crunchy outside edges and juice inside. So delicious, no dipping sauce needed for me. Don't change a thing, you got this down 100% Sincerely yours, Two Loyal Lafayette Locals! Thanks again."

"I am pregnant and was ready to kill for some Dolmas (warak enab). These hit, but the real star was the Baba Ghannouj, I could order again and eat just this- and there's enough that'd make two meals. I'm going to have left overs for days. Also they gave a little extra baklava, which was so crispy and delicious. 10/10."
"Everything here is stellar 👍 the staff included, if you go in. They always hook it up with portions and little thankyous. Often overlooked but highly underrated imo is the lentil soup. Just get a bowl to have on hand for some munchies. Super good."

"Chicken Shawerma Snack simple and delicious! The pickles give the wrap a nice crunch and the chicken is nicely seasoned. The garlic sauce is super garlicky, which I love! I added a side of Hot Sauce and it's great. Plenty of spice, nice and bright, not at all smokey."
"The Mediterranean Plates is very tasty: the falafel is nice and crispy, and the baba ghanoush is just the right amount of smoky. I really like that it comes with a salad. The first time I got it, I felt like it was a good bargain. The second time, there was less of the baba ghanoush and the hummus (and no olives in the salad), and this time there wasn't even half of the serving cup of baba ghanoush! The hummus was a lot less, too. They also only give three-quarters of a pita, and there's no way to order more. So, overall, good food, but inconsistent servings."

"Absolutely incredible. It was my first time ordering after eyeing them on here for a minute, and im so glad I finally did because I love it, the falafel is moist, they use pickles in the wraps which I LOVE! They have big portions for the side of curly fries, and the hot sauce is spicy too which I love. I got the grilled halloumi on the side and omg drool! It's all so amazing. 10/10"
"Oh, this hit the spot tonight. The lamb and shrimp kabobs were both excellent-- a hint of char, loads of flavor. Rice had a complexity comparable to that of far more expensive spots nearby. Highest recommendation. "

"The chicken curry is sour, but a very good portion for the price. The white and green sauces are sour. The chicken and lamb kabobs are okay, also a bit sour. The rice is average. "This is consistently the best real juicy grilled Cheeseburger with so much flavor, amazing bun, perfectly seasoned and the most incredible fresh cut crisp but moist large French Fries in the east bay if not the Bay Area . So glad these chefs and workers here put a lot of love and care into the food. I know the people who have ordered here know what I mean. Even the salads rival way more upscale restaurants. Couldnt be more grateful for this small humble restaurant with a gigantic offering in the decade of small Berkeley $50 pizzas which could never rival jerusalem organic. "
"Everything on the Combo Shawarma Platter was delicious. Both the chicken and the lamb schwarma were moist and flavorful. "The Falafel Pita was delicious and generous. I added cucumbers but they were in my opinion sliced too thin. Must other Greek Food I have eaten has larger crunchy cukes. A minor complaint. Pita was fresh and warm. A good lunch. I would order again but probably not add the cukes since they did not add crunch and just blended with the tatziki."
"Ordered the Gyro Bowl, Beef/Lamb Gyro Pita for dinner as a treat for my 95 year old client. I hardly ever door dash food because of the price increase. It could be better if i didn't door dash it. Not to drag the restaurant. The meat was dry and I didn't enjoy the flavors . I wouldn't order from here again. $56 after topping the dasher a fair amount. Without door dash fees $36 is still too much for this food. If you want a gyro bowl or sandwich go to Original Pollo in Berkeley. It's the best."

"The 60. Golden Pompano Fish/ سمك جلودن بابانو was cooked perfectly. The spices were flavorful, not spicy, and the fish was flakey. The rice that comes with it was fluffy and the best tasting rice ever! The half chicken was juicy , tender, with the meat falling off the bone. Next time I'm going to order a whole side of the potatoes, they were so flavorful. The salad was fresh, and the teas were amazing! The portions are generous and everything was wonderful!"

"Love wise sons. The CRUNCHY SPICE BAGEL SANDWICH is the perfect hangover food- a little greasy, a little salty and spicy, and very delicious. I like to add pastrami for a little extra oomph. It is a lot, so me an and my partner usually split that and an everything BAGEL & SHMEAR (scallion schmear 100%) to get a little creaminess. My only complaint is that they're not always consistent, so this is more like a 4.5. Still my fav bagel spot in Oakland. "
"The MATZO BALL SOUPis very very small. And it's like $10. It's also very watery. Not worth it imo. The HONEY CAKE COFFEEis very good though! Very good flavor."

"The lamb & chicken combination was outstanding. The hummus was creamy, delicious. Was also ordered the combo wrap
Shamara. It's filled with the same lamb and chicken as the combo... A generous dinner,
will order again. I would give 10 stars."
"I usually get nick the Greek and I really like how the gyro was wrapped like a burrito so was a nice and clean process to eat.
I do have to mention we bought two fries to six or seven bucks each and we don't have enough. I feel like when you spend nearly 15 dollars on potatoes it shouldn't really be in question if you'll have enough.
I'd recommend it"

"Really tasty! The Gyros was tightly wrapped so it didn't fall apart like it does from some places. The Greek Fries were a bargain--they gave me a lot of fries and they were delicious. "
"Impossible Wrap (Large ) was huge and tasty. Meza was tasty. Loved the eggplant salata. Saganaki was delicious but very small. Greek Fries were perfectly cooked. I reheated them in my oven since they'd cooled in traveling from the restaurant to my house. Only disappointment were the Onion Rings, which were really greasy. "

"Absolutely incredible flavor on the tandoori fish and the wings (5-6) that were also tandoori flavor. "
"The food was very good, especially the Lahori chickpeas and onion naan. I used to visit the now-closed Bismillah in San Pablo and read that this was the same group. It’s not exactly the same, though I preferred the naan and chickpeas here.
The lamb chops were overcooked and missing their rice. The Chicken Tikka Masala sauce was excellent. The medium spice needed more heat. but not enough to warrant ordering spicy. The San Pablo Bismallah doesn't give a choice but it was always perfect for my taste. if I go in and order that may be something I can work out. not their fault. My biggest issue was the yogurt-like coating on the meat, which changed the texture and reduced the tandoori char. I preferred the chicken at the old Bismillah.
The shop is great, with a fresh meat counter, good products, and lovely staff. I’d return, but may order different meat dishes."
