"One of the highlights of my visit was the Homesteader's Porridge. It was honestly done just right—warm, hearty, and comforting without being overly sweet or heavy. The flavors were well-balanced and subtle, which made it easy to enjoy every bite without feeling overwhelmed. I also tried Mabel's Famous Biscuit (Ham, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich), and this is where things got especially interesting. The combination itself was fantastic—the savory ham, fluffy egg, and melted cheese all came together beautifully. What really surprised me, though, was the addition of orange peel jam. It added a bright, slightly citrusy contrast that elevated the entire sandwich and made it more memorable than your typical breakfast biscuit.
