"This is the best Monte Cristo I have had since Bennigan's closed, almost 20 years ago. It is huge, more than two meals worth. It's made exactly to specs, is cooked to the perfect degree (crispy but not burned or hard, cheese is melted and interior is warm, not too greasy, not dry or overdone), and comes with the proper sides of raspberry jam and powdered sugar. "Another average at best Greek/Mediterranean spot in Houston. We have tried almost all of them and most are not that good to be honest. The dip sampler was ok, tzatziki was decent, eggplant was pretty good, but the hummus was terrible we had to throw it out. Also for over $20 in sampler dips you would think they would do the right thing and give you 2-3 pittas to dip in them. Nope they barely gave us one pita, very disappointing. We even ordered extra on the side and again it was very minimal, pittas are cheap and easy to make and most spots throw in a few especially if you order extra but they did not. The pittas are very soft and fluffy though so that is a bright spot one of the better pittas in Houston.
The gyro was decent but nothing unforgettable best part of it was the pitta on the outside. We prefer thin sliced pieces of meat but they were a bit chunkier.
So overall would not recommend them at all 6/10, still the best Greek/Mediterranean food out here is Petras, at least they give tons of meat on their gyros and the meat is flavorful instead of bland like most of these places."

"Honestly, Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar was pretty overhyped for me. I spent around $50 and unfortunately wouldn’t order again.
The Parmesan Brussels sprouts were bland, and the sauce on them felt unnecessary and didn’t really add anything to the flavor. The fries were also a pretty small portion. My chicken sandwich had way too much garlic spread/sauce—it was spread all over the bun and chicken to the point that I ended up not eating the bun at all.
The whiskey cake itself was decent and probably the best part of the meal, but even the packaging was disappointing because my cake box was left open.
The employee who gave me my order was nice and offered me a drink, which I appreciated. However, she went to the back and returned with the drink already opened with the straw placed inside. I know it was meant as a nice gesture, but from a food-handling/customer perspective, I would have preferred a sealed drink with the straw handed to me separately.
