The DD app shows what looks like a feta vinegarette dressing for the Falafel Salad . That dressing was missing, which was disappointing. It's the only place I know of that one can get Ghormeh Sabzi and Gheymeh and if you've not had either, try them! Pure comfort food. "I got a traditional gyro and my wife got a falafel wrap. Both were delicious! Lemon potatoes were also very good and their homemade hummus had great flavor and a nice texture, not overprocessed. We'll be eating here again for sure!"
"Another average at best Greek/Mediterranean spot in Houston. We have tried almost all of them and most are not that good to be honest. The dip sampler was ok, tzatziki was decent, eggplant was pretty good, but the hummus was terrible we had to throw it out. Also for over $20 in sampler dips you would think they would do the right thing and give you 2-3 pittas to dip in them. Nope they barely gave us one pita, very disappointing. We even ordered extra on the side and again it was very minimal, pittas are cheap and easy to make and most spots throw in a few especially if you order extra but they did not. The pittas are very soft and fluffy though so that is a bright spot one of the better pittas in Houston.
The gyro was decent but nothing unforgettable best part of it was the pitta on the outside. We prefer thin sliced pieces of meat but they were a bit chunkier.
So overall would not recommend them at all 6/10, still the best Greek/Mediterranean food out here is Petras, at least they give tons of meat on their gyros and the meat is flavorful instead of bland like most of these places."

"Very expensive for what you actually get so please be advised that for the time being this is really if you want it really badly. Beef Kabob is basically three smallish pieces of beef, not a lot of rice. Tasty? Yes! But the portions are atrocious. Lamb Shank is hit or miss. Sometimes big, and sometimes small. Taste is fantastic, but portion wise not really that consistent. Shrimp Salad tastes really good and a moderate amount of shrimp, may not be enough for some. Tiramisu tastes ok not very sweet if you are not into sweet desserts this is for you. Garlic Dip is delicious and has a strong garlic flavor. I wish I had lots more meat to eat it with! 😮💨😔They are very gracious with the pita bread if you like it they will provide to you a lot. Otherwise the actual food items so little yet so expensive. Not worth it unless you need Mediterranean food rally badly and maybe do pick up to save yourself 10 or so dollars or more."

"Always weary of Pizza places outside of NY/NJ calling themselves "Brooklyn or NY" pizza, but surprised for once in this case as this spot actually has decent pizza and hot subs.
They made a few mistakes on our order but the food quality and flavor was pretty good compared to 90% of all the other pizza places in Houston.
Cheesesteak was surprisingly pretty good, they actually seasoned their meat, had great flavor and decent bread. Hard to find a decent cheesesteak in this city. Only issue is that they use mozzarella for their cheese and wish they would give the option for American cheese like a proper Philly cheesesteak or at lease provolone but it was still pretty good. Also the description says onions and peppers with no options to keep or remove and we ended getting a cheesesteak with just steak and cheese which is fine because we didn't want any green peppers.
The meatball parm sub was also pretty good better than most places. The chicken cutlet was decent, not the worst and not the best, wish they didn't cut the chicken up and just gave whole cutlets like a chicken parm should be.
Chicken cutlet sandwich was decent as well but it had cheese on it which it doesn't say it does in the description also not that big a deal but not exactly what we wanted and wish they would give an option to add mayo to the sandwich, but ended up just adding it ourselves at home and it was pretty good after that.
The wings were also pretty good, the blue cheese they give with it was also good.
The pizza was pretty good, only issue is we ordered half plain and half pepperoni and we ended up getting a pie full of pepperoni, not that big a deal but we definitely wanted plain because that's how you judge a pizza spot properly is by how good their plain pizza is, anyhow it was still pretty good, especially compared to some of these horrendous pizza spots we have tried out here in H-town and we have tried almost all of them out here.
Home Slice is still oneof the best we have found in this city but this spot is not bad.
So overall we give them a 7.9/10 which is a good score for this areas when everything else is a 5-6/10 or lower. Would recommend giving them a try."

"What a surprise! They actually have great pizza and chicken parm and pastas, after trying dozens of Italian restaurants and pizza places in Houston so glad we have found Ray's. The sauce and the cheese is very good and reminds us of back home in the north east.
The plain cheese pizza is a must. We get it with extra sauce and it was on point. Many places have poor sauce and cheese but Ray's is spot on.
The Alfredo pasta was another surprise, it was actually very good. We can't tell you how many times we have ordered Alfredo from other places and it often has little to no taste or flavor, but Ray's is actually quite good. Next time we order we want to try it on pizza and we read several reviews recommending it.
The chicken parm though was the star of the show for me. I have ordered from so many Italian restaurants in Houston searching for a decent chicken parm and it's unbelievable how hard it is to find a good one, which is strange because it's one of the easier Italian dishes to make but it's all about using the proper technique and quality ingredients. So many reviews for other places claiming good chicken parm were honestly embarrassingly poor and have no idea where those ratings are coming from. Rays chicken parm platter is excellent, probably the best one we have had so far. Tender chicken not dry or rubbery with the perfect sauce and "mootz" on top.
We also tried their meatball calzone and it was terrific. The ricotta and melted mozzarella inside was actually seasoned and the outside of the calzone had so much flavor one of the best calzones in Houston.
Overall Ray's is one of the best Italian restaurants and pizza places in Houston and we give them a 9/10 in our top 3 for Italian/pizza. Highly recommended and we are looking forward to trying some of their other pies and dishes and hoping they are consistent with their quality."
