Abunai started in 2014 as a food truck in Washington, DC and now located in downtown and Union Market area.
I really liked the Poke bowl with ahi and Hawaiian seaweed. Most other poke places have more toppings but less flavor and quality.

Very disappointing experience. It took an incredibly long time for my order to be prepared, and unfortunately the food did not make up for the wait.
The biggest issue was the rice. The rice in the musubi was hard and tasted undercooked, making it difficult to eat. The same problem was with the curry bowl—the rice was also hard and undercooked. Since rice is the foundation of a good musubi, it was especially disappointing and made the whole dish feel like a waste of money.
I was really looking forward to this meal, but between the long wait and the inedible rice, I won’t be coming back.

Always love evry on the menu. Today I wanted to try som new an get the Kalua Pig & Cabbage plate. Im disappointed. It loks nothing like it does in either picture. Barely got any pork just rice. My Musubi with no sides was perfc as always. The Li Hing Fruit was supos to mango and not pineapple but was still very good.

I was heavily disappointed with the portion size. I got about 15 small cube pieces of Spicy Salmon. Also it was missing lots of garnish. I also had $3 odor extra salmon. The taste was average without the complete package.

The spam musubi was 90% rice, and VERY mushy rice at that. Really disappointing. The poké bowl I got had only very sinewy, tough pieces of tuna and I ended up picking out most of the salad greens because they were slimy or wilted. Save your money and get poké elsewhere. Awful quality.
