best oxtails youll have fr, rice cooked to perfection , steamed vegetables have tons of flavor , order this once or twice a week.

The food from Calabash is always on point. I order from here often so I should sing it's praises , I'm a NYer so being down South it's hard to find authentic, good food like this ! It's expensive in comparison to other restaurants but they offer large portions and the food tastes amazing , even their house made drinks are good .

The oxtails, curry goat, & jerk chicken are great. The snapper is too small of a portion for the price, but delicious. The only thing they could do better is removing bones fragments . Some dishes can be hard to eat---even though they're tasty.
That said, EAT HERE. The quality of the food & high level of customer Svc far outweighs any criticism. Oh, and if you're bothered that you didn't get enough plantains on your plate, order a side. You'll have plenty! This restaurant stays in my family's rotation b/c it's our preferred comfort food.

The chicken stew and rice and steamed vegetables was good however I ordered the mac & cheese and the mac & cheese was hard as hell. My fork wouldn't even go through it. Freshness on the mac & cheese gets a zero however, the portion size is very reasonable for the chicken stew. However I will order again. Just not the Mac and cheese.

The oxtails are so flavorful and delicious not dry at all and they fall off the bone I get the large every time I order from here
