Harris is exensive, compared to places I order from. VERY EXPENSIVE. But the VALUE IS ABSOLUTELY THERE. I received the most beautiful Porterhouse steak I think I have EVER SEEN in 68 years! Perectly trimmed, and about two pounds of the most tender well aged ,( dry aged!) meat. Ill have an othher meal tonight, and a lunch tomorrow. Go there or get delivery. If you LOVE GOOD MEAT, this is your best option. Not a CHAIN
I dont know of any other place in SF that has this QUALITY of beef, and the folks who run this great HOUSE ARE KIND AND REALLY PROVIDE THE BEST OF SERVICE!

My fillet was cooked to perfection, and melted in my mouth! The Bearnaise Sauce just made the whole thing! The expense is worth it! Only complaint is that they are a bit skimpy on the fixings for the baked potato!

I wasn't sure what the Evening Potato (2 portions) would be but it's quite decadent not to mention delicious. Potatoes, cream, butter, cheese all come together in a marvelous side dish. It's a very generous portion for 2 or 3 people. The Prawn Cocktail is outstanding with 5 fresh large shrimp perfectly cooked and ready for noshing. Accompanying cocktail sauce was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely order again.

Harris' is the best steakhouse in San Francisco. The Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked at medium. I'm glad their daily potato was the cheese gratin, which is delicious. I sauteed the vegetables with some chives, butter, salt, and pepper. I didn't order a salad this time but I've had their salads in the past and they're excellent. I wish they would throw a piece of bread and butter in the bag, which is usually served with the meal. Splurge, but worth it.

I love going to Harris' with its old-school steakhouse charm so this was my first time ordering delivery. I was a little hesitant even though it's only a few blocks away. It's too pricey to have cold food. Needn't have worried. The Colorado lamb chops were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and still fresh and warm when received. The mashed potatoes were tasty and generous, and the steamed veggies still had delicious fresh flavor and texture. Servings were very generous and packaged to survive the trip. It was a lovely birthday celebration and will definitely order again.
